The headjoint was purchased by the current owner in 2019.

Burkart is very well known for its beautiful handmade flutes and headjoints. If you’ve ever wanted to upgrade to a Burkart flute but are not quite ready for a full instrument, upgrading the headjoint could be a great option. The headjoint plays such a big role in the sound and response of a flute — I like to call it the heart of the flute! :))

This headjoint has a .998 pure silver tube paired with a 14K gold riser. While we can’t say that higher silver content automatically creates a better sound, every player and flute responds in their own unique way. What we can say is that this beautiful combination of .998 silver and 14K gold offers something truly special to explore, and we’d be happy to help you discover whether it feels and sounds right for you.
